I am performing Life Cycle Assessment of wastewater treatment plant. I am trying to add inputs/outputs. however, the database is very limited. I am wondering what is the reason? For example, i am searching for wastewater and storm water as inputs but cannot any. Am I missing anything? Any help would be highly appreciated.

which database do you use? As you probably are aware of, you can search for waste water in Nexus, https://nexus.openlca.org/search/query=%22waste%20water%22. However, typically, if you model the  WW treatment plant anyhow, then you will have typically access to data for the plant, but need rather data for chemicals, electricity, maybe sewage treatment.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am using ecoinvent 3. I have some data for chemical and electricity for the WWT plant I am modelling. My problem is when I  search for inputs such as Waste Water or pump or motors, I do not find any of these inputs in the ecoinvent database. Do you think I am using the wrong database. I am not sure what do you mean by ยจ if you model the  WW treatment plant anyhow, then you will have typically access to data for the plant"....  Thank you again for your help and time.

But these products (pump, e.g.) are available in ecoinvent. You can even look up how they built "their" waste water plants, you will find these inputs there.

Thank you for your reply. Is there any free database to do LCA of Waste Water Treatment Plant? I am so sorry, I am new to this type of work and I feel lost.
I found out the database I am using called "ecoinvent3_01_lcia_methods" so I guess this is different than econinvent and that is why I can not find any inventory for input/output of electricity, motors, pumps, etc.? I am i right? Please let me know.
Thank you in advance

Yes you are right, the LCIA methods database contains LCIA methods (for ecoinvent, the original methods provided by ecoinvent, not our LCIA package).
