Dear all,

after getting some EPDs out of soda4LCA I was successful to integrate them as proxies for a simliar product into my product system. But at evaluation of the contribution tree it turned out that there was no direct contribution from those results. In contrast, the result from an EPD added manually did have an contribution. Do I have to install an additional EN15804 package when using imported EPD? If the EN15804 LCIA package is needed where do I find the one for ecoinvent 3.9.1?

Kind regards,
Dieter

Hi Dieter,

you will need the LCIA method that fits to the EPD, and that is provided with our EN15804 add-on (but maybe also otherwise on Nexus). Maybe it is also otherwise available on Nexus but I did not check now. I would anyhow recommend to use the add-on if you are creating an EPD for EN15804 as this will provide the required indicators, as far as possible. When you "just" use a generic database, you will see no contributions for these inventory indicators, from the database.

Best wishes,

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

thanks for the very fast reply!

for us there is no need to generate EPDs. Is the free EN 15804 LCIA package sufficient for using EPDs? in that case I want to download this immediately but what about the LCIA package for ecoinvent 3.9 (in nexus the package for v3.10-12 is available??
