Requirement of adding flow to impact category

Hi,
If I make a elementary new flow on Openlca in the EF database, do i need to add that flow into the impact category with the characterisation factors?

Well if you want your new flow to contribute to results, yes, but be aware that you are then not within EF methodology any more.
