Hello,

I need to verify the temporal, geographic, and production descriptions of the flows associated with processes. I've noticed that this information is only available when a flow is in a process format.

For example, in the USLCI database:

  • Flow: Petroleum refined, to energy use, at refinery (UUID: b022d34e-2838-4494-8a84-9b6aa57e575a)
  • Process: Petroleum refining, at refinery (UUID: 0aaf1e13-5d80-37f9-b7bb-81a6b8965c71)

I cannot find a table that connects flows with their corresponding processes in the USLCI database. Does such a table exist, or have I misunderstood the database structure?

This is not depending on the data you are looking at in openLCA, it is the exchanges table that links flows and processes.

I understand that the table only links the flows into or out of a process. However, I need the geographic location, date, and production description of the flows going into my process.

For example, "Petroleum refined" flows into ethylene production, but I can't obtain location details directly from the flow. I need this from the process "Petroleum refining." I’d like to automate this information retrieval and need to know how these are linked.
