Hi everyone,

I'm working on the carbon footprint of wild blueberry production in Canada (Quebec). I need to list the emission factors in my thesis, but I don't know how to access them in OpenLCA. I need some help. Thanks.

Hi Charles,

you mean the emission factor of the single components to produce blueberries in Quebec? Or you mean the emission factor of producing blueberries in Quebec? openLCA itself has no emission factors present, you need to import a respective database and calculate the impact yourself. If you have a look at Nexus (https://nexus.openlca.org/search/query=blueberry!countries=Canada) you will see that the Agribalyse database has such a dataset. Once you have imported the database, you have to select an impact assessment method (most likely IPCC 2021 incl. biogenic update) and this will give you the emission factor to produce (I guess 1 kg) blueberries.
