How do you know if processes are linear from databases (such as Agribylase)

Can you assume that input and output flows for processes are based on linear models? Or does this depend on the specific database the data is sourced from?

In LCA, processes are linear ("stupid" input output boxes) if they are not parameterised; parameters may lead to nonlinear functions in a dataset. This is not dependent on the database, but of course some databases do not use parameters at all.
