Dear all,

I used to work with OpenLCA 1.7 and Ecoinvent 3.2 some years ago.

Now I downloaded the new OpenLCA 10.3 and am struggling to import Ecoinvent 3.6. cut-off.

I import the zolca file and then import the LCA Methods zolca file, but no processes or flows appear. What should I do differently with the new OpenLCA and Ecoinvent?

Thank you!

Dear Lora,

the fastest way to import an entire database is to right-click in the navigation panel and select "restore database".
you can then use the import function to add the methods into this database

Dear Tim,

Thank you for the answer. I managed to import the database, but I think something does not work well with the Methods. Once I try to get a direct calculation or calculate the product system, there are no options available for what impact method to choose (ex. ReCiPe). Then when I try to run it (with empty impact method) I get the messages that:
- No regionalisatin possible or
- Out of memory

Then I assigned more memory to OpenLCA and it calculates something  but it is strange that no impact methods are available. My goal is to calculate the GWP.

Do you think something went wrong with the importing of the methods? I still imported them to the databse as a zolca file.

Thank you very much !

Lora

Dear Lora,

it sounds like you have not imported the method pack yet. After restoring the database in the first step, you also have to import the method pack, in a second step. For furhter reading I would kindly like to refer you to the handbook (https://www.openlca.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/openLCA_1.10_User-Manual.pdf).
