Hello,

I recently started to use the openLCA and the ecoinvent database to evaluate the environmental impacts associated to the fibrous materials made by different fiber components.

But the process for this type fibrous material does not exist in the ecoinvent database, what I can do under this situation?

Looking forward to your reply.

Many thanks.smiley

It is quite common that you do not have all processes that you need in a database -> you need to create the process then yourself. Either with measurements done by you or from literature, or both, or also in other databases. You can then combine this process with (e.g.) ecoinvent to complete your supply chain. Good luck! Andreas

Hello! I will have to create a process for certain chemical. I think all the chemicals necessary for production are available in the database, so I have the inputs. However, I am confused about the exchanges to the environment. My question is, will I have to create the characterization factors for the exchanges to environment?
Thanks in advance!
