Processes in openlca / Ecoinvent

Hello, I ‘m wondering what is exactly included in the Ecoinvent processes such as « injection moulding »? Is the energy included ? Are the chemicals needed for the mix included ? In a general way, how to understand and use these processes? Thanks, Eric CASTANO

e.g. if you processed 1 kg of granulate via injection moulding, you would at 1 kg of the flow "injection moulding". The mass balance is then gone but it works this way. The process of "injection moulding" has heat, electricity, generic solvents/filler/chemicals flows.

As every polymer behaves differently, I would recommend copying and modifying this process according to your needs. Hope this helps
