Hello

I want point out a big big future problem for Mac users.

In the next upgrade of MacOS software like opneLCA based on Intel processor will not be supported.

Rosetta is the software which allows openLCA to be used in MacOS will not be supported.

I'm a Mac user and for me (but I think not only me) will be a big problem in the next few months and I do not want migrate to Windows version.

Please take care of it.

I read now that the official timeline from Apple will be to support Rosetta through MacOS 27, which means that Rosetta and the x64 support will exist until September 2027 next year, until MacOS 28 is released. They will give developers enough time to switch and openLCA is also not the only app that contains x64 instructions.

We know of it already and our IT works on a native ARM version for Apple Silicon Macs.

The change from Apple to stop supporting x64 apps via Rosetta will happen earliest in September with the new MacOS 27.

I bought a new MacBook M5 and struck a deal with a consultant to use OpenCL+ ecoinvent to carry out studies for a company. Please fix this urgently.
