What are infrastructure processes/flows?

Hi, bit of a random one out of interest: there is a tickbox for "infrastructure" flows and processes (in the flow and process information respectively). I can't find these referred to in documentation but have probably missed it. Does anyone know their significance / another name for them / a link to any description for how they differ from "non-infrastructure" equivalents? Many thanks! Sam

Hi Sam, the tickbox was adopted from a SimaPro feature which allows to exclude infrastructure processes from the LCIA. The tickbox allows you to select or unselect this field for exporting data from openLCA. However in openLCA, the field is disregarded when calculating the LCIA.
