Update to database schema v8

Question

I upgraded from version 1.9 and when opening the ecoinvent 3.3 database, the software updates to the database schema V8. But the update time is too long and the software does not respond. Does anyone know if this is normal and, how long does this update take?

Hi, the update from 1.6 to 1.7 takes some time since there were "more deep" database structure changes, from 1.7 to 1.8 is fast, and 1.8 is the same structure as 1.9 so that no update is needed. The time needed depends on the database and especially the amount of exchanges (flows in processes), apart from the speed of your computer. Longer for system processes, faster if you have an SSD in your computer.
