I have managed to lose the Navigation window in openLCA and now can't open any databases since my computer restarted.  How do I repin the Navigation window?

The thread from 2019 no longer works as the directories are not the same.  I've looked around but am scared to delete something random.

Thanks!

In openLCA, go to file, preferences, then configuration, there you see a button reset layout:

I teach an LCA class every year. This is the first year where multiple students are having issues where the navigation view gets detached from the main editor view, but the Reset window layout solution above does not work.

The affected students are all on Mac and using v2.5.0. I've tried to replicate the issue on my computer, but I'm unable, so can't even tell you how they were able to detach the views.

I'd love some suggestions on how to solve this issue.

Thanks!

OK, I've managed to replicate the issue. If you drag the navigation (or editor) view to another display, then the close, minimize, fullscreen traffic light buttons open up on that view, meaning you can close just that view.

If you then close the whole program, the other view is not opened up on restart of the program. The "Reset window layout" does work after restarting openLCA.
