Why can I not use WHILE and IF statement in SQL query?

Hi, I'm using the openLCA SQL developer tool to work on the ecoinvent database. Unfortunately, I cannot use the WHILE or IF statement in the query. Am I doing something wrong or are the statements not implemented in the SQL tool? In case of the latter, could I work on the LCA database with another SQL program? Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hi, indeed, the SQL commands are specific to derby which we use as database software.
