Server error 500 at Data Sets screen

Question

We have a repository that I've so far just populated with the reference flows/quantities from openLCA and some of the impact categories from the openLCA LCIA methods version 2 (along with the other items it creates). When I go to view "Data Sets" from the repository, the pinwheel shows next to the "Flows" group (all other categories have the number of items in that category) and eventually the server throws a "Server error 500." I can't easily find any logs associated with it.

Errors are logged in the default tomcat log directory (file catalina.out)

Without any further information my guess would be that either tomcat or elasticsearch do not have enough memory assigned

Increasing the tomcat memory pool fixed the problem.
