Dear all community, I embarked in a process of EPD, and my competitor shows as a FU=1m^2 of sheet according to the relevant PCR but then in the calculation always appear an other unit called declared unit Du=0.0023 m^2.

Do you have an explanation on this? I know the difference between the 2 but why was approved anyways?

If you could help I woul highly appreciate your effort,
Thanks and see you soon

Hi, as EPD verification is by large a manual process, there are verified & approved EPDs where "something is not fully correct". Often, though, you need to provide a conversion factor towards mass, and thus it is not so important whether the declared or functional unit is 1m2 or a fraction of it?

All the best,

Andreas
