Hello,

I have two product systems where the calculation (mostly) works but as soon as I try to calculate it in a project, openLCA crashes without showing an error message. One product system uses ecoinvent APOS and the other one consequential and the latter often crashes when calculating as a product system as well (the two product systems are the same except for the databases).

The memory space for openLCA is already set to 16 GB and the program is set on high priority in Windows. The openLCA version is 2.1 and the databases ecoinvent 3.10 with unit processes and actually there are only around 15 inputs/outputs.

Thank you for your advice!

You can check the memory that is actually used in the calculatoin. Especially if there are two different ecoinvent databases (APOS and consequential), you need almost twice the memory than for one calculation. The "only 15 outputs" does not tell much since typically almost the entire ecoinvent database is attached anyhow. Somewhat related, we will be releasing a version with much much less memory demand soon.

Thanks for the reply. The memory space used is up to 10 GB so that shouln't be the problem, and the computer is also set to maximum performance. Could there be other issues if the set-up of the model that new openLCA users might not be aware of?
