Importing Exiobase emission factors in openLCA - Purchased goods & services, spend-based Scope 3 emissions calculations

Hello everybody,

as a new user of openLCA, I have read that I can import Exiobase emission factors.

I aim to calculate scope 3 emissions for the purchased goods and services category using the spend-based method. To me it is not clear:

i. which folder from Exiobase should I select, is it the pxp?

ii. from this folder, which file contains the monetary emission factors, is it in the satellite folder the F.txt file?

iii. should I convert the F.txt to excel to import it?

iv. other steps required?

Hi Evangelos,

indeed, it is a bit tricky, therefore we offer the database integrated in the DAL tool.
