Hi everyone,

I know that OpenLCA allows determining uncertainty at the flow level. However, I have the following question:

Are there tools within OpenLCA to assess the uncertainty of an entire dataset? That is, not just the uncertainty of individual flows, but a more comprehensive view that evaluates how "uncertain" a dataset is overall.

We are currently regionalizing a dataset, and we want to verify if the uncertainty has been reduced as a result of this process.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

maybe have a look into the manual on the chapter data quality: https://greendelta.github.io/openLCA2-manual/advanced_top/data_quality.html. The DQ depends on your background database; openLCA allows DQ on flow and process level! In the ecoinvent database it is per flow, in the EF database it is per process. However, to assess the DQ, you can build your product system and then run the calculation including the DQ as described in the manual.
Hope this helps
