Hello,

I have a question regarding the construction of a product system.

I have 3 processes, one waste treatment process and the other two are system expansions of the byproducts

The model graph of the products system looks something like this:

Is it possible to transform the system into something like this?

Thank you for your help!

Hi, nice sketch - sure, both products then need to be output of your waste treatment process (and you are aware I assume that you have a multi-functional process which produces two products and is treating waste as well, so you need to think about allocation or system expansion).

Best wishes,

I have two outputs in the waste treatment process, one for each byproduct system. The model graph looks like the sketch in the image 1. Which process needs to be aggregated to the system process?
I  can also only have one process in the system - the waste treatment process - and use the "provider funcion" to link the byproducts to the respective process . Is this viable as well?
I'm using system expansion, the focus is to assess the benefits of the byproducs, for exemple electricity from biogas, and im using the option of "avoided waste" adressed to a process of electricity of natural gas, to calculate the benefit by avoiding electricity from a not renewabke source. Do you find this approach appropriate?
Sorry for so many question, thank you for helping!
