Is it possible to import an ecoinvent database in Excel format into openLCA?, If a .zolca format is required, could you please advise on how to convert an .xlsx file into a .zolca file?

It is not possible to import ecoinvent in excel format into openLCA, use the version from Nexus. We sell the ecoinvent license there for the same price as ecoinvent (and now as ecoinvent switched to CHF, even cheaper).

I would like to purchase Ecoinvent, import it into openLCA, and export it from openLCA in ILCD/Simapro CSV format for research purposes. Would the Commercial Single-User Licence (perpetual) meet my needs? What are the differences between the various licences?

(that is different to the headline of the question here but:) If it is not well-funded research, and you are from a research institute, you should be able to use an educational / academic license. The differences are that the educational license is for academic & educational work, done by universities or similar, commercial is "everything else". Hth
