I have a FU of 1,234.1 coins, and the production loss is 3.5% (43.19 coins). Therefore, to calculate the reference flow for that coin, it would be the number of coins in the FU plus the loss, giving me a total of 1,277.29 coins and rounding to 1,277. However, my question is: since these are coins, it's not true that there is a reference flow of 1,277 coins that people use since 0.29 implies that one more coin was produced; therefore, the rounding should be up, even if it's less than 0.5. So, I should have 1,278 coins in my FR. I would call this a physical interpretation since, mathematically, it's correct to leave it at 1,277; however, it's not entirely accurate because I'm not accounting for the environmental impacts of 0.29 coins. Is it proper in LCA?

Ok this is a joke, right? If not, just multiply your functional unit / quantitative reference e.g. by 10 and you are good.
