The method "database" probably only contains methods and not a single process dataset, right? So you would need an inventory database.
But for compost specifically, as EPDs use the cut-off modeling approach, you can simply model the compost as input, with preparation steps and transport needed for your system and product. If the EPD is following EN15804, you should also consider the secondary material indicators etc.
