Is openLCA compatible with ecoinvent for an LCA on MOF-based MMMs, and which parts require payment?

I am conducting an LCA for MOF-based mixed matrix membranes in an academic project. I would like to know whether I need to purchase the ecoinvent database separately and how it integrates with openLCA. I also want to confirm if the openLCA version compatible with ecoinvent is free or requires a paid licence.

So, openLCA is free, ecoinvent "requires payment" (needs to be purchased), openLCA works with ecoinvent, quite nicely. Buy it from the Nexus website as it is the same price or cheaper than buying from ecoinvent and you get the openLCA version of ecoinvent as well (plus the ecoinvent original version): https://nexus.openlca.org/database/ecoinvent. MOFs: we are quite involved in this currently in the Most H2 project (https://www.greendelta.com/project/most-h2/) but do not expect detailed results for MOFs from ecoinvent, you will need to model these mainly yourselves.
