Hi all,

Apologies if this question has been asked before - I couldn't find it in the archive.

In the general information sheet of any given process (or anywhere else), is there reference to the data source and database version the process belongs to (e.g. ecoinvent v3.7.1, Agribaylse v3 etc)? I can't find the data source specifically referenced, only sometimes in the description ecoinvent might be mentioned, but not the specific version.

The specific reason I ask is that I've updated to ecoinvent v3.7.1 (following the issue identified with v3.7) and want to double check which of my projects I have brought this updated database through to. More generally, I think this would be a really useful feature to have, especially where multiple data sources are used for an LCA project.

Best regards,

Matt

Hi Matt,

thank you, good point. Typically the database providers do not provide this information (like: ecoinvent), and we distribute their datasets, but I agree this makes a lot of sense. We will include this in the upcoming library feature anyhow, but it I see it makes sense also for "normal" processes.

Best wishes,

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Many thanks for your reply and for confirming. Yes, I think it'll make a useful addition to a future update.

I figured out which version of ecoinvent I was using by the way by comparing the "iron sinter" dataset, so solved my immediate issue.

Best regards,

Matt
