I am trying to use openLCA to calculate energy return on investment (EROI) for different fuels. Is there an easy way to get the total energy input into a process and/or a product system? For example, when I look at Inputs/Outputs for "Ethanol, denatured, corn dry mill" from the USLCI database there are inputs related to electricity, "Energy, output", and heat. Many of the process flows also have energy inputs, like nitrogen fertilizer. Is there a way to get the total input energy, including energy from upstream processes and flows?
