Hello and good morning!
Is the EF 3.1 database compatible with the LCIA methods from the openLCA LCIA package?
I want to obtain the TRACI results from some datasets of the EF 3.1 database. Is that possible?
Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,
no - as the EF database is on purpose (by the EC) designed so that it can only be used in their own reference system, with own LCIA method.

@andreas - is the statement also valid vice versa?, means EF3.1 LCIA method is only compatible to be used with EF database and not other databases, e.g., ecoinvent?

To the vice versa comment: well the EF3 LCIA method that we have in the openLCA method pack is of course meant to be used with ecoinvent etc., we mapped the flows for this. So the statement is only correct for the EF database.
