Export and Import of a product system or a process

I’m currently facing an issue with exporting specific product systems or processes. When I attempt to export just one product system or process, the entire database gets exported instead. Could you guide me on how to export only the specific product system or process that I need?

Additionally, we are using the SOCA v2 database and plan to purchase the SOCA v3 database soon. I am working with OpenLCA 1.11 for SOCA v2 and plan to use OpenLCA 2.20 for SOCA v3. Could you advise on the best way to export all the case studies I’ve developed in SOCA v2 and migrate them to the SOCA v3 database?

Hi Angie,

you can export individual elements of a database as JSON-LD, also product systems. That works really fine. Ideally, do this already for the latest version of openLCA (backup your database, then update the database - not the backup - in openLCA 2.3). For a migration into a new ecoinvent / SOCA, openLCA 2.3 now guesses best fits, but there is typically some additional work needed. We could support you there if needed. Let us know then.
