Hello. I am a research student conducting LCA on ships. I would like to use openLCA and EF 3.1 database in my analysis, as opting for the more expensive databases and softwares is currently not being considered. By purchasing access to DAL, will the complete access to the EF 3.1 databases and its reference nodes be made available?

Hi,

all nodes that are considered (ecoinvent, sphera, blonk, CEPE, ESIG). The data is implemented in the EF 3.1 database which is within the DAL tool. The access to the nodes (not sure why you need it), is depending on the respective node provider. So, you can register there and get access to the data.

hope this helps

Hi Jonas, just to clarify, i can get access to the primary data linked to the EF 3.1 just by getting access to DAL? there is no need for me to get separate access from the other node operators? thank you very much for your help!

Hi, interesting question, I admit this is not in our control but you should be granted access if you ask the node operator; from my own experience, getting access can be a but bumpy though, depending on the node.

Hi Andreas, thank you for your feedback. I guess I don't really need access to the nodes, just being able to access the primary data involved in the EF 3.1 would be good already for my analysis.
