Imported EPD results not showing when added to a product system with other processes

I would like some help to import and use EPDs in our LCA.

Following the user manual, I have created a result for Process_A with flow Process_A as quantitative reference and one impact value on GWP total

Then I created a process Module_A with Process_A as input and the result Process_A as provider
When creating a product system and calculating Module A, I do see the expected LCIA result

Then I added one other process to Module_A from the ecoinvent library

1) Recalculating the product system Model A gave the same result : the newly added flow/process was not taken into account

2) After I suppress and re-create the product system, the result from the added EPD is not taken into account anymore in the calculation.


Could you please help ?

Thank you! So I recreated your case and for me it worked (using openLCA 2.7.0):

- demo process

- product system (a library product and process and a result)

- gives this result

Some questions and comments:

Why is your impact category called "core"? I would not really call a flow a "process A" (it is as if you call a process "flow A" or "impact category A" - this is easily confusing). 

If an element in a product system "is not taken into account in the calculation" it will not be shown in the contribution tree, in your case you see it is taken into account but has 0 impacts -> this is either a matter of scale (results are < 0.000) or, more likely, the impact category does not fit.

I am also using OpenLCA 2.7.0 with ecoinvent 3.12 EN15804 as a library.
The "01 Core - Global Warming Potential - total (GWP-total) - v3.1" comes from the "EN15804+A2 (EF 3.1)" method with the library.
I check and the impact category added to the imported result is ok.
As mentionned above, the calculation works when I have only "Process A" in my product system but fails as soon as I add another process.

What you describe is evidently not as it should be and I cannot reproduce it -> check whether your database is valid, if not fix any issues, otherwise you can book a modeler support hour and we could look into the problem in a webmeeting. Thank you!
