I am modelling a process that has three products A, B, C. I have applied economic allocation to extract impacts allocated to only product A. However, along with these three products the process also produces electricity (heat converted to electricity), which is included via system expansion (i.e. avoiding the production of electricity from alternate sources).
The benefit of system expansion should also be allocated across the three products A, B, C. However, in my current LCIA results, the negative GWP of avoided impact is completely deducted from product A. I do not understand why is that the case. Does it have to specially handled while modelling in openLCA?
