Differences in UPR and LCI

Question

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using ecoinvent 3.9.1 LCI vs UPR versions of the datasets? What implications would it have on the model and modeling results? Thank you for your help!

LCI gives smaller systems, UPR lets you see the structure of supply chains and allows you also to modify them if needed (typically by making a copy and modification of an existing UPR). Since openLCA now is quite powerful, I personally like the UPR systems better. Calculation results for both are the same.
