We found a mismatch between the result available on ecoquery and the one resulting on OpenLCA with the same dataset and impact method:

  • ecoinvent 3.10
  • EF 3.1
  • Dataset: transport, freight, sea, container ship | transport, freight, sea, container ship | EN15804GD, U
  • impact category: GWP Biogenic
    • ecoquery: 1.3757e-6 kgCO2
    • OpenLCA: -3.2390e-6 kgCO2 (a negative value)

Other impact categories seems to be equal.

where is the mistake?

Hi Luca,

you are comparing ecoinvent 3.10 EF3.1 results from the ecoquery with the results from our EN15804 add-on. The EN15804 EF 3.1 allows to account for biogenic uptake, hence the results is negative. Common EF 3.1 does not account for the biogenic uptake. If you would compare the ecoquery to our ecoinvent 3.10 database (no EN15804) with EF 3.1 LCIA method, you should get the same results.

Hope this helps
