LCA case studies for mechatronics products using open-source databases?

I'm a mechatronics engineer looking to develop skills in Life Cycle Assessment. I currently cannot invest in paid LCA databases. Are there any case studies or tutorials available that demonstrate LCA of mechatronics products (electronics, vehicles, complex electromechanical systems) using open-source databases?
