I am fairly new to OpenLCA. I am currently analyzing the life cycle of an electronic product similar to the Raspberry Pi. I have already started modeling the production and transportation of the components and the product itself, as well as its usage. I also want to model the recycling.
The database is ecoinvent 3.8
Can you tell me the differences between the databases? I have been using Cutoff LCI and Consequential Regio. The results in terms of global warming potential are extremely different. Not only the overall CO2 footprint, but also the parts that have the most impact on it.
What are the reasons for these differences?
What database would you recommend to take into account not only the production itself, but also the impact of e.g. the power grid mix?
Do you also have examples for validation or comparison?
