Hello, I’m using ecoinvent 2.5 with the cut-off system model, and I need to compare two wind turbine designs, each with two variants, two bottom-fixed and two floating. These variants share some common processes and flows in their life cycles, during manufacturing, transportation, and installation. However, when I create separate product systems for each variant, I suspect that the shared processes are getting mixed up during the calculations, leading to inaccurate results. Is it advisable to use shared processes in this type of comparative analysis in product and project level?  If my my suspicion is right what is the solution to this? Copy and rename process?

evoinvent 2.5 does not exist I think - you can have the same process in several product systems, that is fine.

Best wishes,

Andreas
