I am planning to purchase an annual Educational Single-User license for the ecoinvent database. Could someone please explain the difference between the ecoinvent annual Educational Single-User license and the non-Nexus license?

I am new to openLCA, so any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Ok sure - these are two different things. non-Nexus licenses are all licenses that are purchased not from Nexus but from elsewhere (directly from ecoinvent e.g., or from another LCA software provider). These liceses can be perpetual or yearly, commercial or educational, ect.. A yearly license is a specific license type that gives you access to the database for exactly one year.
