I am trying to calculate the global warming impact of a device using EXIOBASE. My question is best described using an example: you have two aluminium products, product X and Y. Product X is 10 kg and costs 30 euro's. Product Y is 1 kg, but also costs 30 euro's due to a special way of metalworking. This metalworking has almost no global warming impact. Because the products have the same price EXIOBASE gives the same global warming impact, but in reality product X has a much higher global warming impact. Is it possible to use the inputs from EXIOBASE with mass instead of euro's? Or is there a better (free) database for me to use in this case?
