Hi,

I have updated my OpenLCA to the newest version on one of my two computers (from 1.10.3 to 1.11.0). Then, I imported the database and the projects I am working with (created with ecoinvent 3.8, but also imported them to ecoinvent 3.9). The import of processes worked except for some global parameters - why?

I have imported all my local projects as a JSON-LD in one file. If I import this file into both databases ecoinvent 3.8 or 3.9 using OpenLCA 1.11, most global parameters are missing. If I import the same file into an ecoinvent database 3.8 using OpenLCA 1.10 (which I still have on my other notebook), ALL parameters are imported. This is super strange. I did both simultanously, using the same file and the same database - only a few parameters are missing when importing to OpenLCA 1.11. I tried it several times - do you have any idea?

Hi, the handling of global parameters changed between 1.10 and 1.11. Please update the database on the existing computer, and export it afterwards to another computer. You can install both 1.10 and 1.11 on the same computer if you use the zip / archive version (on Windows), start openLCA 1.10, make a copy of the database, close openLCA 1.10 and open 1.11, and then open the copied database, a prompt will appear to indicate that this database must be updated, then please update.

Best wishes,

Andreas
