Hello.
I've come across an issue, and I was wondering if someone else has experienced it.

I do as follows:

Open any process from a database > Go to the Inputs/Outputs tab > In the Inputs table, hover the mouse over the description column/field of any input > [software freezes]

In previous versions of OpenLCA I've used, when I hovered over the description field (without left-clicking), the program would show a small textbox with the contents of the description field. Now, it crashes.

What could be the issue?

Thank you in advance.

EDIT:

Software: OpenLCA version 2.5.0
Operating System: Windows 11

Thank you for reporting - which version are you using, and on which operation system?

(@all, be aware that such a report is much more useful for us if these "details" are provided as well. It is for you probably clear which version you are using but not for us, and since openLCA is developed further, the behaviour is not the same across different versions. Thank you!)

Also edit: thank you for the details! However here, this did not help too much, I was using 2.5 (until switching to 2.6 two days ago or so) since release, on Windows, on different computers, and did not have this behaviour. Does the log file indicate anything? Do you have a very weak graphic card or processor on the computer? Can you try if you have the same behaviour in 2.6 (in downloads, other, development releases)? Thank you again.

I’m having the same problem. It started with version 2.6.1, but it’s still happening after upgrading to 2.6.2.
If I select the flow in the Input/Output table first, I can open the description of that flow – but trying the second flow at the latest, openLCA freezes.
My PC meets all the requirements, has plenty of RAM and a good graphics card. Until now, openLCA has always worked without any problems.

I expected some issues with older versions or older databases in the openlca data folder. However, emptying the folder and re-importing the databases did not solve the problem.
