Combining parts of EXIOBASE into ecoinvent

Hello everyone,

this is my first question here and I hope I it was not already answered. I am using a Windows system with 8 GB Ram (7 assigned to OpenLCA) and Intel i5 8th Gen and a SSD hard-drive. 

Case: I use ecoinvent for my most relevant inventory flows and processes in my productsystem. In less relevant ones, I would like to use EXIOBASE, as it is easier in my case to get the monetary values than the physical ones. 

Problem:

1. In a first attempt I just tried to import EXIOBASE as a whole into ecoinvent 3, but this took forever and OpenLCA freezes and I can only end it with the task manager
2. In a second attempt I thought, as I only need one country I can delete the other processes. But this led to the same issue as before.
3. In a third attempt I wanted to delete country-by-country starting with Australia. Even only deleting Australia already meant the to freeze and I termianted it after one hour.

What would you recommend to help me and solve my issue? Is there a better and faster way to edit the EXIOBASE, maybe using another software?

Hi and welcome,

8GB is really not much, but if you use the libraries of both databases, that should work.
