Hi all,

I’m currently working on OpenLCA and I would like to add EPD information that I’ve found. I would like to know how could I add those infromation into OpenLCA.

Moreover, after checking online I’ve found out that there was a plugin (EPD Editor) that i could use for import EPD, but have been discontinued. Now it’s possible to use EPD Editor standalone application

EPDs that I have download  are in .XML (.ZIP) / .CSV / .PDF format (from https://www.eco-platform.org/epd-data.htmlhttps://www.epditaly.it/https://www.environdec.com/library).

How can import EPDs informations in normal openLCA? or using the EPD Editor standalone application?

Thanks

Marta

The XML file for these EPDs is the ILCD+EPD format, which is created also by the EPD editor which we create which is the successor of the EPD plugin. We will have a much better support for EPDs in openLCA 2, where EPDs become an own object in openLCA.

To use the EPD editor now (https://github.com/GreenDelta/epd-editor/releases/tag/v5.0.0), simply import ILCD or enter the results via excel or even manually, complete the rest of the information for the EPD, and export as ILCD+EPD. At ÖKOBAUDAT, there is some documentation, here: https://www.oekobaudat.de/service/downloads.html.
