Hi,

when trying to import a db as SimaPro CSV the import window says "Selected SImaPro CSV files" however I am sceptical if this was successful, as the impacts of the imported db show 0.00 after impact assessment.

So far I find the documentation on this a little confusing, as here the mapping is advertised as additional service: https://ask.openlca.org/2169/importing-system-process-from-simapro-openlca-mapping-issue

But the feedback in the import process, sounds as if the mapping is automatically applied.

However, for me there is no mapping folder visible (as described here: https://greendelta.github.io/openLCA2-manual/databases/mapping_validation.html)

Is there any general mapping file available or is this always a case-by-case manual task?

Sorry if the communication is confusing - the service is "advertised" as a mapping should fit perfectly for the specific case, which is of course by default not known, and thus typically a preexisting mapping needs some finetuning which we offer (for a fee, as our salary does not come from taxpayer money directly e.g.). If you create a new openLCA database with reference data, you will see a mapping file folder in the database which contains several default mapping files, also one for SimaPro csv. Thank you.

Hi, thx alot for the clarification.
I was not aware of the default mapping available if db is created including reference data. For now that helps.
In case of more specific demands I'll reach out.
