lca of municipal solid waste

i would like to know which database is best for municipal solid waste lca.

Hi Shilpa,

if it is about incineration in Europe, I would recommend our MSWI models, 

otherwise take a generic database such as ecoinvent; for the MSWI models, you will anyhow need ecoinvent as they are built on top of ecoinvent.

Iam doing the lca of the whole waste management system especially for biodegradable waste. In ecoinvent i couldnt find certail components such as transportation of waste ,will it be ok if i use the available ?

well you should model your real system and not make it dependent on what a specific database offers - if waste transportation is important, you need to include it (or, mention as a limitation of your study). That aside, I believe there is waste collection and transport in ecoinvent. If not you should be able to adapt a given transport process. Good luck!
